I ended up selling my parcel. Only $12K worth, of which half was profit.
I do like the company but often feel the share price gets ahead of itself.
Was just looking back through my records of last time I sold and then when I bought this parcel.
I remember selling out last time for the same reason.
Sold 07 Jun 2013 $2.572
Buy 20 Jun 2014 $1.644
Pretty decent retrace over a 1 year period.
For me the main reasons are:
* Earnings not yet at a level to justify SP.
* Capital to develop B2/M2.
There's always obviously the potential of a takeover. But I find myself thinking at this stage/price, if a company can afford NextDC now then why not just build out yourself.
Also when you think about the majority of potential suitors I'm not sure that NextDC makes sense either. NextDC has been sold to its customers as vendor/carrier neutral.
NextDC is now valued at ~$840M but for that you don't get the M1, S1 or P1 land & buildings.
