Looks like maybe a lightening strike blew the top off the tree. I just read that a man was injured by a lightening strike to a yacht nearby during the same storm

This is the 3rd mini cyclone in our locale in the past 18 months, but the first to cause damage.

Insurance assessors and restorers start arriving tomorrow.

Sigh, right before Xmas and it's our turn to host da family!

Oh well will make for a discussion topic over Xmas lunch and provide an excuse for any not so up to scratch presentation LOL.
