If the HX/FBR blocklaying system proves to be consistently accurate over a period of time, the construction industry might gain enough confidence to do away with site measures and just rely on the dimensions shown on the drawings.

There might be the occasional mistake with some re-work needed, but the cost of this would be covered by greater savings across the board.

This might occur in one of two ways. Either individual trades start taking on the risks themselves and do away with site measures, or builders/head contractors direct their subcontractors to price jobs without an allowance for a site measure and indemnify them against errors. In the latter case, the builder can pool the risk of a mistake and offset the cost of one or two errors with the savings he achieves from all the other trades.
