atox and ut are both correct....however the damage and mistrust will linger in the minds of the the CEO's, far longer than most can imagine.... the miners need to have the utmost confidence in their business model.....the fact that they can relocate to any other country and pay lower taxes...Indonesia was mentioned at 20% which is 10% lower than the current rate... imagine paying 73% tax with a return of 6% return on capital for the exercise..... they may as well put the money in the bank and do absolutley nothing.... no workers, no mining zilch...
this is exactly the policies one can expect from a rogue government.... its rubbish about more super for the poor.... every employer pays super for his workers, he does not pay super for his neighbours business, nor workers...
super does not come from another source, nor from the govnuts...definately does not come from the big miners....pretending to be robin hood, take from the rich to give to the poor... he has single handedly wiped out a good % of your current super fund savings in 3 days....for the 'poor' population.... he does the exact opposite to what he says to you... you will only become poorer under this govnut
and for housing....expect the immigrants to continue to come in at an enormous rate.....but expect a lower grade of living, and slums to accommodate them... none of the state or fed govnuts have any policies to increase the number of houses..... for those people moving from a shack or a humpy in a 3rd world country...australia still looks attractive.....but there will not be the support for them with pensions, etc... cause this govt has virtually bankrupted Australia... maybe they will increase incentives to the asians to provide housing in OZ...ie high rise boxes.... I see Canada is looking forward to take over the mining industry, since OZ looks oh so unattractive now... or immigrants will cram into existing houses, with 10-12 adults sharing a 3 bdr.... how totally transformed an un attractive Australia is looking now...
