maybe everybody is looking at Ukraine's guarantees and can see NATO can't back those guarantees. Japan needs to be able to defend themselves. Japan has been a great trading partner for Australia and there is no reason we should not be friends. It is a shame we cannot also be friends with China. There is a possibility Australia could be part of some kind of proxy nuclear exchange in the future, but our leaders are too gutless, stupid or corrupt to prevent it.
