Yes I agree with all your remarks.

It almost seems like a real imposition that one might need to move money around (in a lousy market) to show a profit in one's SMSF and it's the fault of gov't that it is hard to make a profit in this market and then have to pay 15% tax on any profits made before retirement.

Personally, I am proud to think I will not get a pension or part of, from gov't even if I have paid my share of tax in business and all my working life.

I will just be happy if governments don't interfere too much with self funded retirees......So far so good and today's news from the Gillard camp is encouraging.
