lindso47, fully agree no more posts from me, we are on different wave length. Basically I am contrarian .I believe long term investment of your life saving into something irrational as stock market is madness , remember best blue chip stocks like Adelaide Steam ship , Ansett , I think only fifteen is left out of top 50ASX of eighties.To achieve good return , you have to invest short term plus divest which is very hard , because of borrowings restriction, plus you are penalised with tax and administration cost, and as an rich country having thousands of under-performing funds where only 10 % of retirees is able fund themselves .Maybe sovereign fund is better option.
