Well the most common number on this forum on how much to build a HX is 500k.
The latest sticker price to buy one is $2 million, but that number was provided buy FBR in early 2017, and a lot of water has flowed since then.
It is really a stab in the dark trying to estimate the production cost at this time. 
All we can say for sure is that the per unit cost drops the more units that are produced.

I suspect that the $2 million sticker price blew out to multiples of that, which first caused the list of prospective customers to evaporate, which second lead to the WaaS model. FBR are already on record saying that the builders at one point said yeah-nah, and that lead to WaaS. 
So if we accept that there were customers at $2 million, but not at some multiple of that, then a production cost of 500k looks far to low.
