thank you corvy I liked the explanation , I dont know if this is relevant but what about using an electric remote operated train to take the ore our of the decline, it would lower the loading height and reduce the ventialtion requirement but guessing a 1 in 7 gradient would be to steep for it but just throwing out an idea.
you could call the town morning town then, to keep in sinc with the mine :)
