Plough,
You can run electric powered trucks, mines run conveyour systems U/G that run straight to Waste or Rom Pads, they even operate electric powered Airlegs in South Africa, anything is possible Plough!
Personally, the common theme is High Grade narrow vein Mining, they are utilising the Shaft now for haulage so there must be loading pockets U/G.So if I stuck with that theme, I would be leaning to a Decline(small) design that utilises the pass system and do away eventually with a trucking fleet, bog out straight to the pass that reports to the relevent loading pocket every 5 levels for example and hoist straight to the bin then onto the ROM Pad. Who knows? talented people on board that will come up with the best optimun plan to see this mine through for the next 20yrs and once they do, we will more then likely be discussing there expansion project. Interesting months upon us.
