Brokers always do this....Brokers can accumulate the stock and put the trades in the "house account" then cross it to the party that wants them.....brokers have to trade with an "order' or they are pinged by the ASX.....brokers can make alot of money doing this (or lose)...the insto wanting the stock will only usually pay the VWAP for the day or week and yet if the brokers house account can beat that VWAP the brokers keeps the difference....
