Norwest Minerals (ASX: NWM) has a 200,000-ounce gold resource at its Bulgera Gold Project, located 200km north of Meekatharra in Western Australia. The company is exploring opportunities to process this resource through the nearby Plutonic Gold Mine.
Regarding rare earth elements (REE), Norwest has identified clay-hosted REE mineralization at its Arunta West Project, which is 600km west of Alice Springs. This project is in the West Arunta region, close to WA1 Resources' significant niobium discovery. Norwest has been actively exploring this area since 2019 and has identified 31 critical mineral targets, including niobium and rare earths.
