Mining has a particular definition under the Hauraki District Plan. The Plan has probably changed quite a bit since you were last around the area. Full scale mining is a discretionary activity but bulk sampling is contemplated within the Plan. 20,000 cubic meters with 23g/t grades (top 5 mines in the world or so) is more than enough to get the ball rolling. I see the company has also tipped its hat towards a further application for an additional bulk sampling project for the Deeps.

I wonder if there's any usable equipment down there like rail carts or explosives that NTL could still use these days?
