Im in North QLD. I have never seen it this busy ever in my area. Tourists everywhere. People out spending. So much for softening demand. Is anyone actually seeing a fall in demand/spending? Rate rises are still to have any effect - or will have no effect? Added to long term holds yesterday and today. I will add more on any meaningful pullback.
RBA wants a low AUD to help exporters on the one hand and make imports more expensive in the hope that pressures demand. Too many people with too much money still. Probably have to wait till next year for any fall in demand/spending as higher mortgage rates kick in for some.
XJO has broken out of its downtrend. See what happens when it retests 200dma (which is only 30 odd pts away).
