In my opinion, the RBA appears to have an undisclosed agenda that defies explanation.
Predictions about the RBA are hazardous, but in my crystal ball there are some hazy pictures emerging. I think that there is a real chance that if inflation stays around 7% then the RBA will pause. For the RBA to raise by 0.5% or more would probably require inflation to have gone out of control and be at least 8% with good prospects of going even higher.
If either of these scenarios eventuates then there will be some unusually volatile days for the XJO up ahead - which might be good news for alert traders.
