Trump is now invulnerable, like an Achilles without his heel.

Achilles is mainly remembered for his vulnerable heel, rather than for having been the greatest warrior of his generation in a civilisation that was dominated by warriors.

In my opinion Biden's career is now doomed, unless Trump's ear gets infected like Achilles' heel. Markets, including the XJO, have reacted positively. Trump's pick for VP is another positive for business and markets.

The tentative shorts that I opened on Friday are now closed. Achilles would probably agree that winners should avoid fighting the market. Despite today's small fall on the XJO, it seems to still be a bull market except for the big miners.

Will probably wait until the next Aus CPI numbers are due before opening any more shorts.
