    Doesnt matter if you choose to buy a house or be a renter, not sure why people always come back to that when trying to talk house prices up.

    As for me we bought a house last year, we have kids and i was able to pay for most of it with cash from what i made out of the stock market through the 00's Even though i bought, i am not going to just cross my toes and hope the prices keep going up, I didnt make the money i have by being stupid.

    I am quite sure the house will lose a lot of value while we live in it over the coming years. But when the prices do drop, a lot, that will suit me, as it will be easier than for me to upgrade to a bigger house down the track.. Everyone is better off with cheap housing (except people who only know how to invest by renting houses out, they are the ones who dream house prices must go up forever).
