I think you're missing the best bit of the analysts reports

who cares what the target number is, that's not the most important bit

why not use the numbers that make up the target to help you understand the assets/project the company has

forget the 'buy' or 'sell' call, the reports are often much more accurate and detailed than most of us could ever come up with
