Noticed on last nights lateline business that Holden are getting 14m from the govt to build a more Eco friendly commodore.

They are chipping in at least 3-4 times that but interestingly the key thing said was that the new car would have as
much al as possible in it's body to reduce weight and increase mpg.

The holden gm who sounded like he was from the USA reiterated the benifits of al but noted it's increased cost over steel and said it was a cost/benifit analysis of some importance.

anyway it all points to al being a material that has a bright future and any tech that increases it's green credentials will be valued accordingly.

The only prob with mhm is it's poor liquidity, anyone wanting to cash in a few on a quiet day hits it, then again if you are cashed up like a certain nervousfriend of mine waiting for the drop it's a great opportunity.
