but impressive does not mean conclusive nor complete.

for every LYC, there is a XYZ that fails. and even for LYC, using different time intervals yield different results.

i dont bother going into detail and waste my life and time disproving candlestick analysis because at the end of the day, how much money will that make me. i just know it does not work reliably.

how can i reverse positions in my backtest and still get roughly the same results. i actually put out sell orders with a solid bullish engulfing signal and still get roughly the same results over different time periods, different stocks.

gut feeling is that the SP behaves in a way where the past can never predict the future.
