go take a weekend off, study how to program backtesting, and do some backtesting.
choose a wide variety of stock and over several time periods.
start off with say 250K funds and see what your returns are if you were to buy on a bullish engulfing signal.
then instead, reverse action and sell instead of buy.
bullish engulfing means buy buy buy, but if i chose to sell sell sell, i should be way way way worse off but guess what ? no bloody difference.
