I think you are on track with your thinking. As usual, the big boys will ALWAYS have the upper hand with early reporting.
You only have to look back on that comprehensive report from JP Morgan, that Szaba, posted the other day. They were the ones, who reported the fact that there was a problem with the wax and rocks, WELL before the quarterly announced it. But yet armed with this information, they still predict a SP of around $1.48? Is it right that others know this info before us, SH's? Of course not. Are we or any other SH in the stock market surprised? NO.
Back to your original comments about Genting and CS, continue to plod along soaking up shares, even with the early knowledge of this quarterly. Me thinks, there are numerous projects boiling away in the background, that have been 'leaked' to the big boys, to placate them.
At the VERY worst, I can see a firesale of an asset, ONLY if Alaska or the USA Oil, don't kick a goal in the next 3 months.
