You presuppose that the price will go back down on the back of day traders. I think you're being unfairly harsh on short term traders, they aren't in the game to lose money and they certainly don't go out of their way to sell at a loss to spite you.
If the share price does happen to go down as a result of short term trading well that's all the more opportunity for you, isn't it
