although the properties generate positive cash flow, they are only worth what they are worth and cnp's debt exceeds that.....
therefore asset sales arent the answer because eventually you still got a stack of debt with zero to show for it (and also lost the asset which can produce an income).
its a very tricky situation. a takeover is definately what cnp shareholders would be hoping for but who is going to pay a premium on the asset values and possibly make the same mistake cnp themselves did?
