I don't like this idea but it seems everything is pointing to this eventual scenario:

1. QM deliberately delays the deposit payment of USD $9.83mil even though it has been contracted and must be paid.

2. QM is happily letting JB selling down her shares which serves 2 purposes for QM:

- Lower sp makes it cheaper for QM to offer, say 30c offer rather than $1 offer.

- JB selling down her shares and lose her ability to block the take-over or oppose to the take-over or asking for a sky high offer or doing anything in her capacity to disrupt a take-over offer in any way she can think of.

3. Deliberate suppression of progress updates regarding pilot plant equipment shipments, pilot plant construction, drilling assays update, stage#2 metallurgical result update, recruitment of new CEO, new deposit payments,....and whole lot of other activities including the commencement of the DFS.

4. QM was happy to build a 30% stake in BEZ by share acquisition from JB at 200% premium.

5. QM saw a compelling investment case in BEZ at gold price of USD $1800. So compelling that it was willing to sign an off-take agreement for 3mil oz of gold deliveries (the entire production target at BAU) and was willing to commit to a potential AUD $450mil pre-payment deal, it must be extremely compelling now at gold price of USD $2200/oz and increasing.

Taking over BEZ gives QM the right to do whatever it wants without the hassle of regular reporting to shareholders and ASX. It would also give QM the chance to speed up the project progression to production at 5 times faster given QM already has a good working relationship with the Sarawak local government. The only drawback would be losing access to CRs as a public entity on ASX but it won't be a problem if QM knows it has the capacity to raise its own funding through its gold notes exchange,...Personally I thought its 30% holdings of BEZ and the off-take deal was already so good for QM to carry on its business with BEZ but the recent gold price fast increase backed by very strong mix of fundamentals behind the gold price increase lately and the deliberate slowdown of newsflows keep telling maybe QM is aiming for something even higher, that is the ultimate take-over.

I bought into this stock because i saw an opportunity of sp reaching 70c to $1. I dont want a 30c offer. That would ridiculously undervalue the BAU gold project.

I would be very disappointed if what my subconscious mind is telling me turns out to be the case.

Tran, tell your subconscious mind to up the offer to around $1.

Does retail have enough shares to block any offer? You would hope the T20 would side with the plebs if the offer was crappy.

Ronme has described him as a gentleman and honest but money does funny things to people so wouldn't be surprised if this came to fruition. I just hope that a reasonable offer would me made.

My subconscious has girls dancing in bikinis around me by the pool on a Greek island so back to it for me.
