Hello mmv621... with BGC Contracting ‘scratched ‘ off that list we are only left with Downer’s mining services division according to the Motley view.

Last December her sources (possibly Deutsche again as it is mentioned as busy there ) told her Chile group, Sigdo Koppers wanted if and not even the company’s authorised media spokesperson could deter her from the story
....However, Downer said at the time it had received no management buyout proposals.
A company media spokesman also denied Wednesday that the two parties had been in talks about the mining division, despite speculation in the market that the Chilean group was potentially an eager buyer.
“Downer’s Mining business is performing very well and we are not in discussions with any party, including from Chile, to sell it,” he said.
One theory is that former Downer Mining boss Geoff Knox is working for a bidder, but others say that is not the case.

, early this year, Downer knocked back an offer from Oaktree Capital Management(for whom Geoff Knox was working for), because it was too low, and last heard, was (still) saying it was happy to keep the division.

Why would ‘they’ want NRW to buy it ?
