Thanks mmv621, that is really interesting - the first tangible action by NSW or VIC gov to address the issues with the large contractors on the East coast. Just as a reminder, JP originally said the East coast was promising and then maybe a year or more ago said NRW was not likely to win contracts until "the broken contractor model was fixed" (not exact quote, just from memory!). There has been commentary about this in the press and also financial carnage in some of these large contractors but I was hoping something like this would start to happen.

It feels to me like the infrastructure wheels are turning finally for NRW but it may take until the end of this year for the contract wins to start rolling in.
