there are 2 key types of tech plays:
1) sales based - each client as a consequence of a long sales dialogue / trial / discounted period / eventual full freight contract - these are typically the corporate facing tech businesses
2) viral - each customer begats other customers as they both have benefits of sharing the tech - so you have an in-built sales and marketing department - these are typically the consumer facing tech businesses
Buddy is clearly the former - the lead times can be a bit long - but when big clients kick-in - things can go supernova
