Goofy, Increasing NdPr recovery rate to 90% would increase NdPr production by around 150t per Q which is close to 6Kt pa, but not sure how achievable that will be. Probably more a combination of debottlenecking and increasing in production rate and recovery rate would make 6Kt pa achievable IMO.
Goofy, extremely close to current situation and excellent analysis of CEO report in Qtly. Lynas is on a pathway of continuous improvement. Parts of LAMP are not currently operating at capacity, others are at 100%. Those that are still causing bottlenecks receive management focus to improve throughput and recoveries. This will be a continuous process of improvement and is never complete. Likely we will see some capex in near future to allow increase in NdPr throughtput, and maybe separation of the PrO which has higher market value.
Focus on increasing recoveries at present should see the 6,000t p.a. level achieved with existing processing capacity and I believe a realistic expectation that FY18 will deliver circa 6,000t NdPr or increased value from separated materials.
