I think that to get a sustained medium-long term uptrend you need to have good fundamental reasons. However, just becaues the fundamental reasons are there doesn't mean it is time for a stock to start trending.

CCC seems to be building a solid grounding fundamentally, however the stock may not be ready yet to set into a lengthy uptrend. The market as a whole needs to support trending as well.

From what I can gather about ASX are large portion of the medium-long term money has been sitting in the utility sector as that has been far outperforming any other sector on the ASX. Some excellent trends have been there for quite some time. When those trends finish, that trend following money will be looking elsewhere for another run.
