"Grade-smearing" I didn't realise that it had a name (thanks to Swami).
From memory, OGX CDP-004 was registered as 3.4m 38 g/t ...let me find it:
When in Brazil, I found out that "grade smearing" is exactly what happened with CDP-004 (2015?). It was more like 500 g/t over .6m (not exact), and then another much lower grade layer of mineralisation several meters higher.
As Chief Geologist Thiago explained it the drill bit went right through the nugget.
Now it is possible to understand why he was concerned that the computer projection was potentially misleading.
