High volumes are normally indicative of meaningful moves, but it is getting more and more meaningless and used as just another way to pull the wool over the eyes of retail investors. The large block of very high volume days a few months ago was largely BOA/ML shorting and covering, usually on the same day, or moving shares between their own accounts. No change in substantial holding ocurred during the whole period. Legit trades are well and truly drowned out by useless noise.
Retail investors are leaving on mass and funds being preyed on by the bots are moving to dark pools. The end result is price discovery by supply and demand is non existent and scumbags can use a company as a plaything with no recourse.
