Bit of a write up in the Australian today mainly talking about Latitude scoping out ZIP..... non event, they say they didn't, they reckon they got their own version of Z1P in New Zealand (Genoapay) and will launch here in July. It's a BNPL with 10 weeks to pay off the credit.
But these schemes of 10 weeks, or 4 instalments etc to me seems rather odd, I like ZIP's concept the best. You can pay off the lot on credit, or you can pay as little as $40/month.... the fee is $6/month if a balance remains and if you pay the lot out then the $6/mth fee stops. Seems to me accessing a $1000 line of credit for $6/month and minimum $40/month repayment is pretty easy.
Zip Pay may charge a late fee of $5 when you’ve made no repayments for more than 21 days, bugger all really!
