Bullock berates businesses for passing on interest rate and other costs to customers. what does she expect? that businesses will absorb all these heavy costs without recompense from falling sales?
interest rate rises drive inflation, so the RBA is among the cost increases which have caused the service industries, including rental rates, to rise.
it seems to me the paradigm used to "control" inflation is a series of wet blankets which makes it uncomfortable and difficult to move. seems like the best option is for business to get out from under the blanket and move to other shores where interest rates aren't so ardently used as the sole method of applying downward pressure on inflation. ... is there such a place?
