Amaysim offers a combined better plan, coverage, price and benefits than the others, with no contract and a super easy to use self-managed website.

Vodafone reception is terrible outside big cities.  Optus (which amaysim uses their lines) isn't perfect, but way better.

You singled out one plan (5gb).  Look at their range of plans, I guarantee Virgin is not comparable at most levels in price (let alone features).

Not only that, but even on cheap plans, unlimited calling to multiple overseas destinations and unlimited sms to even more.

Further if you want to focus solely on price, Amaysim owns Vaya (I think that's the name) which is the cheapest across the board on a strict price comparison.
