Smoky Cape magical place, used to fish northern end for whiting but pretty intense to surf re sharks always looking about for the odd whaler, also snakes bit of a problem (adders) bit back from the beach. lol
Have spent many hours at the Jewbite, also went in the other direction upriver to an old wharf for flatties.
Meant 1st girlfriend near 'backcreek', she was coming back from beach and picked up a splitter on the bridge as I was crossing in the other direction. (Holiday romance lol)
Also paddling my board up that little creek for kilometres just south of horseshoe, the one that runs into the ocean where those big smooth round rocks are just off the beach.
Always baggering the old man to stop on the way out the mouth of Macleay to fish in those black tidal holes lol.
Geez brings back memories, no need for money just having as much fun as possible.
Imagine the developers a having their way with it at the moment.
