G'day hanrahan,
I imagine it is partly because less than 50% of this resource is going to be converted to reserves. Also, why havn't the results of the last 2 years of drilling by Newmont been added to the stated resource? Maybe this too is struggling to make the "reserves" category. I suspect this could be a significant reason why Newmont put up the "for sale" sign. Of course we shouldn't forget that AGC have continually disappointed the market over the last couple of years.
