It seems many shareholder would prefer to receive dividends rather than distribute their funds to a political campaign (which is probably not going to succeed anyway). I am more than happy that the directors should spend their own money; but how can they possibly justify spending shareholder's money when shareholders simply don't support their position.
This needs to be addressed at the next AGM and the Directors need to pay back the money.
I added 'sell' as sentiment - it seems to me: Rio, BHP and Wes have lost direction; and when I do sell many of my shares in time these will be the first to go.
