Gee, have any of you been in Bunnings?

They employ a mix of staff from young to experienced. Theres a bunch of tradespeople sick of wearing out their bodies post 40, (my guess why they are there) and Bunnings employs them, and they tend to look after a specialist section in store.

The people on checkouts it is true dont often know what a philips head screw driver is.

The information systems they need are tricky. WOW dont have them is my guess... selling timber by the 300mm and cutting it down and keeping stock figures in multiples of 300mm is probably not something WOW have. Hence the Lowes involvement is my guess. The supply chain infrastructure is likely different. Hence the danks buy.

Lowes would also help give them scale, products and buying power in China.

The only pitfall I see with Lowes as a partner is that the USA is still on the imperial system. Not much use importing 3 eights inch drill bits.. 6 foot benches, 1 foot pavers.. when they wont fit with everything else people have in their homes.
