Good evening folks.
I took my son for a drive out Cougar way tonight. From about the airport we could see the lights at the Cougar site away to the south east. As we grew closer we could see the site was lit up like a Christmas tree however, there was no sign of a flame to indicate that ignitation had taken place. Actually the closer we got to the site the less we could see due the trees, lantana & long grass along the side of the road.
We drove right up to the site entrance but all we could see from there was a glow from the lights as the construction is just over the brow of the hill to the left off Bellbird Road. Off to the south east about 15 to 20kms as the crow flies, Tarong Power Station was clearly visible.
We continued to drive along Bellbird Road past the Cougar site development entrance & took the next right turn & travelled a few kms to the south. I figured that we may get as better view from the eastern aspect however, we could see less than from the opposite side of the hill.
Disappointingly there is nothing really newsworthy to report. I shall have another look in a few days time.
I also tried to contact one of my switched on business mates this afternoon but he was not in the office at the time & will not be back until Friday. As for going to the pub Dex, nup that's not my style I'm too old for that. Friday night dinner at the local RSL Club might be the go though some of the Cougar guys may be there.
Anyway guys & gals I have rambled on enough without enlightening you much at all. I will however continue my pursuits to find the news that we have all have been eagerly awaiting.
Cheers.
