Bunyu Funding....surging graphite and lithium prices

The business case for Bunyu continues to get stronger….which will significantly and positively impact on our chances of shortly securing Funding.

Last week flake, amorphous and spherical graphite prices surged on high costs and solid demand.

ChinaFlake graphite markets all jumped amid supply tightness following earlier power restrictions and the forthcoming winter halt in Heilongjiang province, in addition to reduced imports stemming from global shipping problems.
Fine flake prices surged by 16.67% this past week, the largest change within a one-week period in three years.

Given the predicted global shortages of graphite over the next few years; I am surprised that a battery or car manufacturer hasn’t gone into a JV with VRC to secure an ongoing supply of graphite.

In the lithium space, Lithium carbonate prices in China rose to above 197,000 yuan per tonne, the highest on record, as tight supplies struggle to meet the accelerating demand. Prices continuously increase as auto makers and battery manufacturers face dire need of the metal amid a global push for less-polluting modes of transportation.

Fitch Solutions upwardly revised its forecasts for lithium carbonate and hydroxide prices from 2021 to 2026 to assimilate higher sales of electric vehicles and energy storage batteries, used in portable electronics and electric mobility devices. Further, research from the Bank of America’s global research department states global electric vehicle industry faces the imminent threat that its battery supply could run out as early as 2025.

Prices for lithium carbonate have increased over 320% since the beginning of 2021!
