Mate, they way you put it makes Australia has a crime problem like in South Africa and the USA who both incidentaly have much more lax gun laws. Crime in Australia is nowhere near that bad.
Since the introduction of Howards Gun laws there have been no mass killings, there was an average of 1 per year previously. Gun related deaths have reduced 50% and suicide with guns has also reduced.
Do you really think it would be wise to make guns more accessible?
