Yeah motion detector lights are a good deterrent, when the light comes on thieves don't know what is going on and take off. A dummy camera and fake security alarm sticker are also good.

My warehouse got ram raided last year, there was CCTV footage but the thieves wore a hoody, smashed one of them and the 4 x 4 they used to ram the door was stolen. Didn't look like they got much though there was a bit of damage but as weeks went by realised a lot more had been taken than what I first thought.

Thieves had worn gloves so there was no finger prints, was not long before the case was filed. Some 9 months latter a mate of mine brought some goods off gumtree which I knew was stolen from us, so gave details to police of where and who sold goods. Both me and my mate had to give statements but in the end nothing came of it.
