Gumtree is a favourite for selling stolen goods, Cash converters or Crime converters as they are know was also a favourite.
The amount of stolen goods is huge, report in the paper today of a truck load of goods recovered from one house and that is not an uncommon occurrence. Most of these items can't be positively matched to stolen item reports (ie no serial number) and end up at auctions, Ross's Auctions in WA does a monthly auction of unclaimed and fortified item.
Thieves that ram raided my warehouse where not that sophisticated, just grabbed stuff they thought they could easily sell. We have some rather expensive stuff that they could have taken but probably didn't know what it was and what it was worth.
