I don't know how much Black Rock's investment portfolio is weighted to precious metals. If they are bullish gold, it probably has something to do with their medium to long term outlook on DXY and USTs, rather than a belief US hegemony is teetering on the brink of collapse.
Goldbugs have no subtlety in their thinking. They always assume the global economy and financial institutions are on the verge of imploding. I've been hearing this for years, but the status quo continues to grind along as it has for decades. And their never accept responsibility for their poor judgment. It's much easier to blame J.P. Morgan, the Fed and other market manipulators for things not turning out how they expected.
