I was just thinking last week that it was a good time for Richard to come out from behind the desk and address the goings-on in BF to soothe markets' jitters. He did a good job, IMO. The only query I have is at what interest rate can WAF borrow money to fund the new mine? 6%+ can look a bit risky and would likely dent the SP a bit if enacted due to increased risk.
I'm not as worried about sovereign risk as other are though. You can get worse problems in so-called safe havens like Canada with soaring labour costs and Covid absenteeism. West Africa is gelling up and getting together to shake off the old days of constant turmoil and I think the days of those Muslim gangsters are numbered.
