Only need to look at education or employment participation rate to see how they refuse to participate.
80% of indigenous aren't born in remote areas - so pretty much all of your post doesn't hold water. Also, not only indigenous are born in remote communities, and definitely not only they face alcohol; drugs and abuse as part of daily life.
I grew up in a regional SA town and moved for work. Since then I have moved three times for work. My experience with the indigenous is just as I described. Chip on shoulder. Won't go to school or study - and from then on indignantly blaming everything but themselves for their situation.
