GDP per Capita for Malaysia is 76th in the world at USD14k pa. Nearly twice that of China.

I presume there are considerable efficiency gains for manufacturing in Malaysia over China ... the Govt incentives for one - so I assume the jv in Malaysia is logical. Compliance and other innefficiency costs will assist. Been to Singapore a bit and they're pretty clean and tidy - but Thailand and Vietnam could do with biodegrabable packaging as their waterways are clogged with the stuff, Malaysia ??? But I presume the idea is to export such packaging from Malaysia around the region.

The other thing I keep wondering about is baby boomers versus X and Y generations for Cardia products.

Baby boomers have grown old consuming and wasting all their lives - yet they are the ones with most of the equity currently.

Equity that has to inflate away over the next decade - think the top of the cycle birthrate wise for baby boomers was around 1957 onwards. These people will be 65 in 2022.

Cardia is really a Gen X and Y product targeted at 25-44's these days I expect.

So it's really targeting the world-health for the grandchildren of the baby boomers.

Hope they "sex-it-up" for Gen X&Y to market Cardia accordingly.

    Regards
