Australian food ingredients company Burns, Philp and Co says it's requested a trading halt from the Australian Stock Exchange.
In a statement, Burns Philp said it expects to make an announcement regarding a transaction in the next 48 hours.
"The trading halt is requested to last until the earlier of the announcement of the transaction or the commencement of trading on Monday July 26, 2004," Burns Philp said.
