    Burns Philp today announced it has reached a level of 44% acceptances for its Goodman Fielder takeover. That is up from 24% in only 2 days. It looks like they will gain effective control of GMF by the middle of next week.

    The takeover bid has been weighing on the market for some time. It could be now we will see a turnaround in the BPC share price.
